Overview: |
We are looking to employ a mechanical fitter to join our team.
This is a role that will require someone with good practical skills, capable of turning their hand to the installation / replacement of various pumps, pipework and accessories. Previous pump replacement knowledge and experience is not necessarily required, as all training will be provided. This role is part of a new requirement that will enhance our capabilities, and you would be working alongside our existing electrical and mechanical tradespersons. All tools above the level of basic hand tools, will be provided for your use by the company. These works sometimes require the manual handling and manoeuvring of larger pumps (using suitable equipment) and as such any applicant should be fit, healthy and capable of carrying out these tasks. The majority of the works are in and around the South East and sometimes in London. Works are within commercial premises sometimes in rural locations for our commercial clients, so the ability to drive is essential. We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude and has a willingness to learn and is confident in their practical skills. TRAINING: Specifically all training for pump replacement will be provided and you will be paid whilst undertaking the training, at the manufacturers facility. We also run a comprehensive training programme for our employees, which you would be required to participate in, as and when training requirements are identified, or required in your role such as, first aid, asbestos awareness, working at heights, Pasma, IPAF and more. You would be supported by our admin team and reporting to one of our Contracts Supervisors. |

Experience Required: |
Although experience in this specific pump replacement field is not essential, practical experience in the cutting and threading of steel pipework using hand dies or a threading machine and knowledge of nuts, bolts, valves and gaskets is required. At times you may be working alone, and you should be confident about making decisions and solving problems on site or to request assistance and support from your colleagues where necessary, help and support is always available. |

Due to the clients that we work with and the contracts we work upon, it is critical that you obtain security clearance and this will be a condition of your future employment. The job requires driving small to medium sized commercial vehicles, a driving licence preferably clean is essential. Ideally any candidate would be located towards Farnham or the surrounding areas.
