Overview:

We are looking to employ an electrician to join our electrical team.

This is a role that will require someone with good commercial electrical knowledge and experience, capable of carrying out all aspects of electrical installation and maintenance work.

This role will be to join our electrical team who are based in Farnborough at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, carrying out the installation of temporary supplies and services for the various events held there. This will include the Farnborough International Airshow, once every two years.

As well as this you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and support to our other trades and clients, our works are mainly in the commercial refurbishment sector and not new build. Works will consist of visiting jobs throughout the South East and some in London for our commercial clients, covering all aspects of electrical work, including replacement of distribution boards, all types of cabling, lighting, power, accessories, etc…  As well as general electrical work you would also be required to assist our other trades on larger projects and be flexible in your approach to the day to day tasks that might be required. We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude and has enough electrical experience to enable themselves to be confident in their work and be able to make their own decisions on site.

A large percentage of the works will be at our Farnborough site and at other times within and around the M25, focused on London and the South-East only. Any applicant should be self-motivated, a confident driver, flexible and able to manage their time effectively. Our clients include Farnborough International, Government buildings, the Police and the private sector. We will require you to go through a security vetting process to obtain passes to our sites.  You must be trustworthy, a good time keeper and have a willingness to work both as part of a team or as an individual.

TRAINING: We run a comprehensive training programme for our employees, which you would be required to participate in as and when training requirements are identified, or required in your role such as, first aid, asbestos awareness, working at heights, Pasma, IPAF and more. You would be supported by our admin team and reporting to one of our Contracts Supervisors.

Experience Required:

Candidates should be experienced in all aspects of electrical work. At times you will be working alone and you should be confident about making decisions and solving problems on site effectively and to a satisfactory standard although, help and support is always available.
Qualifications Required:
City and Guilds or NVQ level 3, BS7671 up to date.
Qualifications Desirable: (not essential) Testing 2391, EV, CSCS, First Aid, PASMA, IPAF, NVQ.
General Information:
Due to the clients that we work with and the contracts we work upon, it is critical that you obtain security clearance and this will be a condition of your future employment. This vacancy therefore is only open to those who have been resident in the UK for at least 2 years and who do not have a criminal record.

The job requires driving throughout London and the South-East so knowledge of London is therefore an advantage. Ideally any candidate would be located towards the outskirts of London in the West or South, Farnham or the surrounding areas.
