Contracts manager (Electrical Bias) vacancy

We are looking for an electrical Contracts / Project Manager to join our team.

This role would be office based in Farnham, meeting clients on site, to discuss their needs and plan potential works, obtaining information to cost and overseeing the delivery of any minor works or projects that we have secured.

Experience within the general building / refurbishment industry is a must, you may be responsible for overseeing a number of tradespersons, working with colleagues, providing them with support and advice, and also technical assistance to our clients.

Reasonable IT skills are required in Word, Excel and Outlook and your English and Maths should be at an acceptable level, enabling you to compile emails to a good standard, understanding and producing quotations and financial information where required.

We are open to the level of management experience that any applicant may have, this role could suit someone who is looking to come off the tools into a management role. We are able to offer the training and guidance to enable someone with suitable drive, to develop into a management role.

A large percentage of the works will be based at our Farnham office and at other times within the local area, London and the South-East. Any applicant should be self-motivated, a confident driver, flexible and able to manage their time effectively. Our clients include Farnborough International, Government buildings, the Police and the private sector. We will require you to go through a security vetting process to obtain passes to our sites.  You must be trustworthy, a good time keeper and above all, we are looking for someone who will become a valued member of our team.

TRAINING: We run a comprehensive training programme for our employees, which you would be required to participate in as and when training requirements are identified, or required within your role such as, first aid, asbestos awareness, working at heights, SSMSTS and more. You would be supported by our admin team and Directors.

working within the construction refurbishment industry would be an advantage. You should be confident about making decisions and solving problems.

Due to the clients that we work with and the contracts we work upon, it is critical that you obtain security clearance and this will be a condition of your future employment. This vacancy therefore is only open to those who have been resident in the UK for at least 2 years and who do not have a criminal record.

The job requires driving throughout London and the South-East so knowledge of London is therefore an advantage. Ideally any candidate would be located in Farnham or the surrounding areas.
