With our modern, draft efficient and energy conserving building techniques and indeed the increase in external air pollution, the introduction of fresh temperature controlled air to a working space is widely accepted as a necessity. Not a new revelation we agree, fresh air has been introduced into buildings for many years. Perhaps the poorest maintained of all the building systems. Ventilation plant, filters and ductwork are often left squeaking away in the shadows of a forgotten plant room or roof space. The life expectancy of the framework itself can be u up to 25 years with little maintenance. The various filters, motors, pulleys and belts are however a different story. Frequent maintenance is required to ensure the longevity of the smaller parts and the general health of the building, its occupants and the system. RME can develop and execute a maintenance contract on existing plant and equipment, carry out a ductwork clean or replace the entire system if required. This can range from a singular toilet extract system to the replacement of a building's entire air handling plant, associated ductwork, induction units, coils, fire dampers etc.
The equivalent modern day equipment is often much more energy efficient, quieter and more often than not smaller. If your building occupants complain of soaring temperatures in the summer or plummeting temperatures in the winter, the chances are a lot could be done with a spring clean and a little TLC. At worst, at least you will have somewhere to allocate next year's maintenance budget.
